Timothy answered the phone not knowing he was about to be on radio. Carlett told him straight up — nothing special about today. Except it was Testimony Tuesday. And what he said over the next few minutes stopped people cold.

He started with 2015. A major operation that went wrong. The surgeons nicked his brain during the procedure. He woke up paralysed. Two months of physiotherapy followed. Not rehab in any comfortable sense — learning from scratch how to move his own body again. His right leg came back, mostly. It never fully came right. That was the first time.

He didn't frame it as a tragedy. He mentioned it the way you mention something that happened a long time ago and didn't break you.

Then Came the Sunspot

Most people get a sunspot on their head and don't think twice about it. For Timothy, the melanoma inside that sunspot found its way into the lymph glands on the right side of his neck. By the time the doctors got involved, they were looking at 97 glands that needed to come out. They removed all of them. Seventy-six were cancerous.

One artery came out in the surgery too. His left arm is now weaker because of it — one less artery to supply blood flow, so he does exercises with a one-kilogram weight to rebuild what was lost. He described the result of the surgery on his neck and called himself Frankenstein. He said it like a joke.

He's been off work for four months. The specialist care — the kind where all the right surgeons are in one room — came with a price tag he was honest about. He said he put it in God's hands a long time ago because God has always provided. He said it like a statement of fact, not a performance.
