She came back to the studio for the first time after surgery. Her mom Elsa — eighty years old — sat in the corner. Lynette read from notes. Because if she tried to say it from memory, it would still undo her.

She wrote every date down. The 22nd of April. The 7th of May. Every appointment, every result, every moment something shifted. She needed the dates because what God did is easier to doubt when it's sitting inside the fog of everything else you were going through at the same time. The dates kept it real.

She came to the studio because the story needed to be said out loud.

The Dates She Wrote Down

22 April 2026

Lynette found a lump.

7 May 2026

The diagnosis: malignant neoplasm of the breast, infiltrating duct carcinoma, stage 2. In plain language — cancer.

The Surgery

Five hours on the table. When she came out, the lymph nodes were clear.

The Recovery

A shoulder spasm that her daughter's hands talked down. A blood clot that her own body quietly dissolved on its own. And three weeks later, a shower that felt like standing in heaven.

"By His stripes you are healed. It's already done. You can just claim it."

She showed up for every appointment. Did what they told her. But she was holding onto Isaiah 53:5 at the same time — like it was the other appointment, the one running alongside all the others.

But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5 (NIV)

The Afternoon Nobody Was Home

Her husband wasn't home. The people she would normally call weren't available. She sat in her room alone with whatever comes to a person after five hours of surgery and a recovery that had already asked more than she expected.

And she found out she was already okay. Spiritually, she was already fine — no matter which way it went. That's not a small thing to discover. A lot of people go through cancer and never land there.

The Big C vs The Almighty C

She said it near the end. Not as a closing line she had planned — it just came out. The difference between the big C and the Almighty C.

"People talk about the big C. Lynette came to tell you about the Almighty C. He had her the whole time. He has you too."

Family Conversations · JustGospel Radio

She read from notes because she couldn't trust herself to get through it without them. That's how fresh it still was. Elsa sat in the corner the whole time and didn't say a word. She'd already watched her daughter walk through it. She knew.
